Dr. Jonathan Manzer grew up in the small town of Kinsley, Kansas with a population of around 2,000 people. He obtained his medical practice degree from the University of Kansas and has been practicing medicine for 25 years. He currently operates the 3 Manzer Family Medicine clinics in the area and truly enjoys the medical field because it allows him to help people every day.
Dr. Manzer is happily married to his wife and together they have a 3 year old daughter. His hobbies include playing racquetball and building off grid solar systems. Dr Manzer looks forward to providing care for you and your family.
Dr. Moataz Barkat grew up in Alexandria, Egypt. He attended medical school at Alexandria Faculty of Medicine and came to the United States in 2016, eventually finding his way to Manzer Family Medicine in 2021. He currently holds an Assistant Physician license in the state of Missouri and provides family medicine and urgent care to our patients. He speaks English and Arabic fluently and continues to learn Spanish.
Dr. Barkat loves medicine and enjoys getting to know his patients, building good relationships, taking into account their mental health, and helping them in their journey to improve health and well-being. He also enjoys speaking at community events and spreading awareness around prevention about some of the most common medical conditions such as diabetes. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, traveling, working out, and cooking Mexican and Egyptian cuisine. Aubri Ashbacher is a Family Nurse Practitioner at our Carthage office. She obtained her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Pittsburg State University and is also a certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
While Aubri is new to our clinic, she has been working in health care for almost 10 years. She started as a CNA when she was 18 years old prior to becoming an RN and then worked as a nurse in multiple departments including medical charge and ICU.
Aubri enjoys that in the medical field there are so many different paths you can go as a DNP, whether it be a new speciality or working your way up to a leadership position, there is always something different and exciting you can do.
When she is not at the clinics, she enjoys spending time with her boyfriend Levi and their four dogs Thomas, Toby, Barkley, and Briar along with the rest of her family. Natalie Cooper is our Family Nurse Practitioner at our Galena, Kansas clinic. She grew up in Carl Junction, Missouri and obtained her Bachelor's of Nursing from Missouri Southern State University in 2016 and then attended Cox College where she graduated with her Master’s in Nursing in 2021.

Crystal Dyer has been serving others in the healthcare field for over 20 years and has been part of the Manzer Family Medicine team as an Nurse Practitioner for over 5 years. She currently practices in our Carthage and Galena office.
Crystal was born in a small town in Ohio and obtained her FNP, MSN from Maryville University. She enjoys the medical field because it allows her to work hard everyday to make the most positive difference in people’s healthcare.

Susan Zhou is a Family Nurse Practitioner at our clinic in Carthage. Susan received her Family Nurse Practitioner certificate from Clarkson College in Omaha, Nebraska and her Master’s of Science in Nursing from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Susan has worked in many different areas of medicine in the hospital and considers herself a very detail oriented person. She has been married to her long time husband and they have two wonderful grown children. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, watching movies, and traveling.
Susan has had experience watching alongside a loved one who has had a decade of ongoing medical struggles and feels that it has given her more understanding and sympathy as a provider to better care for her patients.
